Andrew
Managing Director
Andrew was the co-founder of Soft Landing mattress recycling in 2009. He was a founding board member and driver of the mattress recycling product stewardship scheme. Andrew has travelled the globe looking at best practice and innovation for the sector and is credited with several key advancements within the industry.
Andrew’s commitment to the circular economy and positive social impact has been recognised with a Premiers Award for Environmental Excellence, Australian Social Enterprise of the Year, AWRE Innovation Award and sat on the panel of the International Sleep Products Association Mattress Recycling summit in Cologne Germany in 2017.
Andrew has been instrumental in creation of panels and tiles from mattress waste, that can be used in the built environment. This work has been over several years in collaboration with the SM@RT research hub at UNSW.
Andrew has been a guest speaker and presenter at numerous events including, the NSW Industrial Ecology Forum, International Sustainability Symposium, Australia - Korea Joint Sustainability
Conference on Recycling Technologies and World Resource Forum.
He holds Post Graduate qualifications in Social Impact from the Australian School of Business at UNSW and Diploma in Management from the Australian College of Commerce.
Justine
Marketing & Communications
Justine has over 10 years experience working within the recycling sector with a strong focus on textile recycling. She was part of the Soft Landing Mattress Recycling start-up team when it was founded in 2009.
She has broad B2B and B2C marketing and communications experience from working with start-ups to large format retailers and not for profit organisations. Extensive retail background with a strong focus on people and business development; marketing, this includes sales and advertising campaigns; merchandising; in-store messaging; and customer experience, online and in-store.
Justine has been involved with the EPA Illegal Dumping working group and member of the National Association of Charitable Recycling Organisation. She holds qualifications in Dip. of Multimedia (Graphic Design); Dip. Of Business Management; and Cert IV. in Training and Assessment.
Iulio
Collections Manager
Lio has worked within the waste and recycling sector for over 10 years. He has extensive experience implementing processes to maximise efficiencies, incorporating quality control and work health safety policy and procedure.
​
He has a strong sales management
background with a focus on leading teams and customer service. Lio holds qualifications in Management and Retail.
​
Lio is experienced operating a range of equipment and machinery, holds his HR, Forklift and High Risk Work licenses.
​
Furthermore, he recently completed his First Aid and Fire Extinguisher training.
